Large Home and Luxury Video

Luxury Homes and Very Large Homes and properties take more time, and require a different approach than a standard walkthrough video.

What we have learned over the last few years is that homes with unique features and unique owners/buyers allow for a more artistic style and custom editing and shooting.

What types of home qualify? It is a judgment call really, that being said, homes that fit this bill usually are on acreage or maybe have an architectural pedigree, or a massive out-door living area. What about homes with an airport? Not just access, I mean their own airport. Some homes we have done in this range required that all of the shooting on a very large home including photography and video happen in a short time to work around a schedule. Sometimes it is about eye candy and the way a home works with an agents total branding.

What is so different?

Planning…Often times we will talk with an agent or even visit the property days before a shoot to determine the best times for shooting, a storyboard, script, etc.
Types of shots…Time-lapse…we got that. Vignettes…that too. Daybreak and Twilights…certainly. Custom graphics, on camera talent, you name it we can add it.
Post production…Special effects, voiceovers and so forth take more time.
Multiple Days on set, or multiple camera people. A few times a year, we encounter a property where it takes more than one day to shoot, or where we need more than one photographer to get things at the right time or in the time available.
Fill in the blank…Custom shoots are custom.
Deliverables…Multiple One Minute pieces for social…A short with voiceover…A mini movie with the architect…It is up to you.

Start with a deposit and we will work out the budget that fits what you hope to accomplish. Usually, the deposit is enough to cover the total. Once we have worked out the budget we will start the project.

Please Note: This is a creative Product with a large amount of time devoted to it. There are limited reasons for refund of deposit.

A refund will be given for any reason within 24 hours of booking.

A refund will be given if the client withdraws the contract from the agent before shooting. (fees for storyboard, onsite visit will be withheld) {this has never happened, but it could} Once we are to the day of shooting the whole amount for the agreed upon work is due.

Other reasonable reasons. Sometimes it just does not work out. As long as we have not been out significant time working on the project, I don’t want to keep your money.

Here are the restrictions.

Deposit is not fully refundable once a storyboard is provided and accepted. (in most cases)
Deposit is not refundable after shooting has commenced.
Full deposit is not fully refundable after an onsite visit is done. (an amount equal to our base rate will be withheld $150) and the rest refunded, unless a storyboard has been accepted by the client.

In most cases we are reserving a whole day for this type of shoot so that we can get the best light, best access and so forth. We ask that parties be as certain as possible about the shoot day before we actually put the shoot on the schedule. We want to always make the property and the agent look their best!

Weather is always an issue. Even with the best websites, sometimes everyone is wrong. We will work it out. The most common weather issue for us is wind or mostly overcast. Wind is an issue for aerial work and for some other parts of the shoot, because we cannot fly or because trees don’t always look good when being blown about. Overcast is an issue on luxury homes because they sparkle more with good light.

In the event that after looking at the property it is clear that this shoot is overkill…(it happens) we will refund the amount over what the walkthrough video would be after any minor upgrades.

All of that being said, in 15 years of photography I have never kept a deposit. It is my goal that everyone be excited about the whole experience.
